The Gathering provides hospice care in a home-like setting for patients who are unable to remain in their own homes. It is Medicare and Medicaid certified and staffed 24/7 by Lakeview Hospice and Homecare staff. Care involves an interdisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, social workers, chaplains and clergy, home health aides, pharmacists, nutritionists, volunteers and the patient and family. The space offers a peaceful atmosphere that invites reflection, sharing and rest. It includes a guest apartment for use by visiting family members and friends, and an adjacent conference room for private meetings between family members, hospice staff and caregivers.
