The Friends of Lakeview (formerly the Lakeview Hospital Auxiliary) has merged with the Lakeview Foundation. The Foundation will carry on the mission of the Friends, including healthcare scholarships. Since 1975, 610 students have received scholarship monies from the Friends – a total of $610,000. Lakeview Health thanks the Friends for 51 years of volunteer support and financial contributions to the organization.
Photo (left to right) – Anita Buck served as Auxiliary president in 1961, when the current hospital building opened. She was instrumental in the fundraising for the 1961 capital campaign. Barb Dahlke has lead the Lakeview Bridge Marathon since 1964, raising funds for healthcare scholarships and community programming. The bridge marathon will continue.
